Idaho Man indicted for fentanyl related death

On January 11, 2023, a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging Tanner Lee Goforth, 36, with distribution of fentanyl resulting in serious bodily injury or death.

The allegations in the indictment state that on May 17, 2022, Goforth knowingly and intentionally distributed a fentanyl-containing substance that resulted in the death of the victim.

Nampa PD investigated the incident that lead to the arrest of Goforth on January 12, 2023. Goforth is scheduled for his arraignment on January 17, 2023, at 3:00 PM at the U.S. Courthouse in Boise in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Debora K. Grasham.

If convicted Goforth faces a minimum sentence of twenty years and up to life in prison.
